overview

The Client Info page contains all of the personal information about your Client including:

personal information

The following personal information about your Client is required to create a Client account in Recomposer. These fields can be edited on the Client Info page:

first and last name

The client’s name is needed to (among other things) find them in the list of Clients (among other things).

email address

The email address is used for the client to login to Recomposer and must be unique from all other users in Recomposer

dob – date of birth

The user’s age is a variable required by several of the algorithms used in Recomposer for calculating body-fat percentage. The impact of age on the calculated body-fat is relatively minor (approximately 1% per 10 years). So, users can choose to lie about their date of birth, if they choose, with minimal impact on their body composition measurements if the claimed age is within 1-2 years of reality. There is almost no impact on the relative change in their body fat percentage caused by a small lie in the users date of birth.

gender

The user’s gender – ie their biological sex; male or female – is used to determine which body composition test equation to use. There are profound differences between the male vs female body fat equations. So user’s who choose to claim a different gender, for the purposes of measuring their body composition, might find major discrepancies between their measured body fat percentage vs expectations about how that body fat percentage should subjectively appear.

Recomposer uses popular, public equations for calculating body-fat percentage from skin-folds. These equations have been used and respected throughout the world for decades. Users who disagree with these tests can use other methods in Recomposer.
height

The users height, measured in centimetres, is needed for some exercise strength performance equations in Recomposer.

phone

The users phone number is optional contact information to be used by their Coach.

password

A password must be entered to give the user login access (combined with the email entered above).

activate/deactivate button

The Client can be activated or deactivated with the button at the top of the Client Info page. More info in this article…

delete button

The Client account – including all body, diet and training data – can be deleted by clicking the delete button, and then confirming the deletion by pressing ‘confirm’.

It is almost never necessary to delete a Client account. Deactivating the Client account stops charges accruing and locks the Client out of the account.

permissions

Users can have various access permissions granted or revoked using the permissions checkboxes. More info in this article…

assessment interview

Before engaging in client coaching, an assessment interview is essential. More info in this article…

coach #x

If you are logged into a Company account, you can add, change and remove Coaches from having access to the Client account. Simply click ‘add coach’, click into the dropdown list and select the Coach.

To give another Coach access to the Client, click ‘add coach’ and then select the Coaches name from the new dropdown list.

Similarly, to change the Coach, click into the dropdown list of the Coach and select a new Coach. To revoke a Coaches access to the Client, click the red ‘x’ next to the ‘coach #x’ label, or select a different Coach.
