Skinfold tests are the recommended method for measuring body fat percentage in Recomposer. The Body Composition Test form provides algorithms to calculate body fat percentage from 3, 7 and 9 site skinfold tests.

The Recomposer 3-site equation is the calculated average of respected equations by Dr Siri and Dr Brozek that studies show correspond well to DEXA (original calibration and not the inappropriate NHANES calibration).
7-site
Recomposer uses the highly respected Jackson Pollock 7-site equation.
9-site
The 9-site equation in Recomposer is provided as the popular standard for bodybuilding competition preparation and thus uses the Parillo Performance equation designed specifically for bodybuilder.
